In a potential partnership with a non-profit pro bono client, I'd look for a small organization ready to amplify their reach among donors, or one whose mission included pushing back against entrenched stereotypes. I feel like storytelling—through visual media and design—is a powerful tool in changing attitudes and humanizing complex statistics.
Non-profits that are top of mind right now include SheJumps and Wild Grief in the outdoor space, Refugee Women's Alliance and El Refugio working in immigrant and refugee rights, or even a small business committed to creating queer spaces in Seattle like Charlie's Queer Books.
Some services that I could see being helpful, narrowed down based on their goals and needs at the time: creation of a unified branding system to be used on annual reports, giving guides, and all external communications; event photography that could be recycled for website content, advertising for repeat events, and follow-up emails; short form videos for social media, posters for upcoming events in both digital and print versions, website layout optimized for storytelling and clear calls to action, and more.
